Welcome to the First Newsletter

June 2018

Welcome to the first newsletter that have taken me absolutely ages to understand how to work and design. Understanding the body and brain is definitely easier!
I am starting the newsletter to improve communication, as not everyone I see is avid Facebook users and as such missing out on some important information that I like to share.

GDPR
the hottest topic around is still the new changes to General Data Policy Regulation. Those of you that have recently been in the clinic would have been able to update your personal details and sign a summary version. Clinic Opening times
Some of you might have noticed that the clinic is now open on Wednesday mornings. From July, I will be in the clinic on most days. I am trying to work out the hours and days and would love any feedback on the current opening times.

Blog
A new page has appeared on the website called Blog News. For the past 18+ months I try to write a monthly article for our local village magazine. It therefore makes sense to share it with you and any other interesting finds. I am not as eloquent as some of my peers and for that reason I love to share on Facebook any articles that re-iterate the messages that I try to get across, especially if they are able to capture the essence of understanding the exercises, etc much better.

The next national physiotherapy campaign organised by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy starts in July.

Melton Mowbray and surrounding area has an abundance of exercise classes and clubs. The most difficult is finding the one activity that you really enjoy.
* A few of you have started to attend Helen Barker's YOGA for low back pain. The feedback that I have received till date seems all really re-assuring. The big challenge is maintaining what you have learned following the 12-week course.
* I also recently attended the STEADY STEPS + class for the first time and was so happy to see so many familiar faces in the group. Well done and keep up practising the steps at home.

Lastly, do not forget that if you would like to be referred for the Exercise referral scheme that I am able to help with this. This entails either some sessions for general rehabilitation at Waterfield Leisure Centre or sessions at Good Life Gym aimed more at improving fitness and weight-loss.
